Marvin Elliott has silenced rumours regarding his future by signing a new three-year contract with Bristol City.
The midfielder has been linked to a whole host of Premier League clubs this summer with Blackburn, Portsmouth, Wigan and Wolves just some of the sides thought to be chasing the highly rated 24-year-old.
Elliott signed from Millwall in July 2007 and has since gone on to become a firm fans' favourite, however after the Robins missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season many expected the Londoner to move on.
Nevertheless, City manager Gary Johnson never had any doubts that the player would agree to extend his stay at Ashton Gate.
"Marvin's seen all the speculation but nothing's come to us officially. There was never a question of him not signing the contract," he told the club's official website.
"Credit should go to him and to the club. I'm delighted he's signed a new deal with us."
Elliott, meanwhile, was just happy that his future was now sorted so that he could solely focus on matters on the pitch.
"I've signed the contract and I'm happy it's all sorted," he highlighted.
"At the moment I'm concentrating on getting myself as fit as possible so that I'm up and running for July 1st."
