Peterborough have finalised the signing of Mark Little on a three-year deal after his release by Wolves.

Johnson happy to bring in full-back on a permanent basis

Peterborough United have finalised the signing of Mark Little on a three-year contract after the full-back was released by Wolves. Little spent the latter part of the season on loan at London Road and he made nine appearances for the Championship's bottom club. He has subsequently been let go by Wolves at the end of his contract and has now clinched a free transfer move to Peterborough. Posh boss Gary Johnson, who took charge after Little had arrived on loan, has confirmed there was interest from other clubs in the 21-year-old.

Young and hungry

"I have watched games of Peterborough United prior to my arrival and Mark Little impressed me then and since my arrival at London Road, he has continued to show the qualities required," Johnson told the club's official website. "He has showed great athleticism at full-back and his attitude is spot-on. When I spoke to him about signing permanently, he was very positive. "Despite interest from several other clubs, Mark only wanted to come here, so I am delighted to have him on board, because he is young and hungry and that is what we are looking for." Little made 32 appearances during his Wolves career and also undertook loan spells at Northampton Town and Chesterfield.
