His left-footed strike against Walsall in the 2008/2009 campaign was voted Goal of the Season by fans. "I'm delighted Frankie has agreed to join us," said manager Mark Yates. "He has a terrific left foot and can play in a number of positions which is what we need. "He is a young player who is hungry to do well and I'm sure he will do well for us." Thomas spent parts of last season on loan to Rushden and Diamonds, helping them to a play-off place in the Conference. "Wes is a strong, quick forward player who will give us something different compared to the forward players we had last season," Yates added. "I'm certainly looking forward to working with him."
