Flint: I could have had three

Aden Flint admitted he could easily have had a hat-trick as he helped Swindon secure a play-off spot with a 3-0 win over Stevenage.

The defender doubled his tally of Town league goals on Saturday afternoon with two goals either side of Gary Roberts' strike to make it four in 63 Robins appearances. And the former Alfreton centre-back saw a header well-saved on the line, an effort his team-mates felt had crossed the line, and the 23-year-old had a few other chances to grab a memorable treble. "I don't often score a goal, let alone two, and I'm just delighted to score and help the team secure a vital win." he told the Swindon Advertiser. "Credit to the boys because we deserved the win and dominated them. "I should have scored more, and I think my header in the first half was actually in, because a few of the guys were saying it was over, so maybe I should have had a hat-trick." Swindon travel to relegation-threatened Scunthorpe on the final day looking to keep their momentum going before the play-off semi finals, with Brentford or Yeovil looking like their most likely opponents.
