David Prutton's EFL predictions: Cardiff to draw with Leeds

Prutton's Predictions

David Prutton returns with his latest round of predictions ahead of this week's Sky Bet EFL matches.

But who is our resident expert tipping for victory? Read on to find out...

Cardiff v Leeds, Tuesday from 7.30pm - Live on Sky Sports Football

Is it going to be an early season marker for who might get into the top two by the end? It's probably a bit early for that but it's certainly a barometer for the ambitions of these sides.

Both sides had good wins on Saturday and will be confident heading into this game. Cardiff boss Neil Warnock will fancy getting one over on his old side and I fancy an entertaining draw.

Prutton predicts: 2-2 with Pierre-Michel Lasogga to score first (75/1 with Sky Bet)

Brentford v Derby, Tuesday 7.45pm

Brentford won't believe they had to wait so long to get their first win, but they finally managed it in emphatic fashion at struggling Bolton at the weekend.

This looks a tough trip for Derby, who have had a couple of poor results now and really would have hoped to have beaten Birmingham on Saturday. Another draw for me here.

Burton v Aston Villa, Tuesday 7.45pm

Burton held QPR to a good draw at Loftus Road at the weekend, and you feel Nigel Clough would take a point in every away game this season. They'll need to get their wins at home though if they want to survive.

Aston Villa have had a couple of great wins in the league and it finally looks like Steve Bruce might be getting things right. But I think Burton will hold them to a draw.

Middlesbrough v Norwich, Tuesday 7.45pm

Middlesbrough aren't exactly ripping it up and they look like less than the sum of their parts at times, but they've got plenty of quality and have looked fairly strong at home all season.

Norwich got another goalless draw at the weekend against the kind of team they need to be beating in Bristol City if they want to move up the table. Boro should have too much firepower for them.

Prutton predicts: 2-1 (15/2 with Sky Bet)

Millwall v Reading, Tuesday 7.45pm

Have Reading recovered from losing in the play-off final yet? It doesn't look like it as Jaap Stam's side flounder in the lower reaches of the table.

They've struggled on the road so far and I can't see that changing on a tough trip to The New Den. Home win for me.

Prutton predicts: 1-0 (11/2 with Sky Bet)

Nottingham Forest v Fulham, Tuesday 7.45pm

Nottingham Forest have been good in patches in games and Mark Warburton may have felt a little unlucky to come away from Villa Park with nothing on Saturday.

Fulham aren't up where everyone was expecting them to be yet, but they also started slowly last season before going on a run. It's tough to call, but I feel like this will be an away win.

Prutton predicts: 1-2 (8/1 with Sky Bet)

Oldham v Peterborough, Tuesday 7.45pm

John Sheridan became the latest EFL managerial casualty after Oldham's appalling start to the season which ended with that drubbing at Rotherham on Saturday.

The club will be hoping for an upturn in performances, but Peterborough are flying at the minute and this one will surely go with the form book.

Prutton predicts: 1-3 (14/1 with Sky Bet)

Exeter v Notts County, Tuesday 7.45pm

First travels to second in Sky Bet League Two! Exeter were finally beaten on Saturday, which allowed Notts County to climb above them and reach the top of the table.

Both sides will fancy their chances of promotion this season, and victory on Tuesday night would be a huge three points for either side. That being said, I think this will be a draw.

Prutton predicts: 2-2 (12/1 with Sky Bet)
