FOREST DENY CROSSLEY CHOP

NOTTINGHAM FOREST keeper Mark Crossley looks to have paid the price for stalling on signing a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club, although the Midlands side have denied withdrawing their initial offer.

The 30-year-old was reportedly offered £8,000-a-week but turned it down because he wanted a better deal.

Crossley, who has spent his entire career with the club, could leave for free at the end of the season, if the club and player fail to agree a deal soon.
