The former Birmingham City man (pictured) joined up with the Worcestershire-based outfit for training last Friday after going out of contract at last season's end with Nottingham Forest.
The Northern Ireland international would provide valuable experience to The Harriers for the coming season, though the 32-year-old is thought to have an offer from German Second Division side Eintracht Frankfurt as well.
Their interest in Sonner comes as Kidderminster have reportedly struggled to secure the services of central midfield man Micky Mellon.
Talks are thought to have broken down over finances, despite The Harriers offering the former Bristol City and Burnley man a two-year contract.
The 34-year-old was released by League One club Tranmere Rovers back in May and Molby is hopeful a deal can be struck with Mellon.
