Forest ship out pair

Nottingham Forest have allowed Kevin James and Craig Westcarr to leave on loan.

Nottingham Forest have allowed fringe duo Kevin James and Craig Westcarr to leave The City Ground on one-month loan deals.

Both players have headed for stints in League Two, with winger James linking up with Boston United and Westcarr joining Lincoln City.

James has made just two substitute appearances for Forest since joining the club on a free transfer from Gillingham in the summer.

Teenage striker Westcarr's sole outing this term was on Boxing Day and Forest's caretaker manager Mick Harford is expecting the duo to benefit from their loan moves.

"They both need football," Harford told the club's official website.

"They are two young players and they are not involved in the first team at Forest at the moment.

"They need to get a bit of experience. They will be playing a standard of football which is better than the reserves, in my opinion, and it will do them both the world of good."
