Nottingham Forest midfielder Kevin James has joined Walsall on loan.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Kevin James has joined League One rivals Walsall on loan for the rest of the season.The former Charlton Athletic and Gillingham player, who turned 26 on Tuesday, has been out of favour at The City Ground.
James was placed on the transfer list at the end of last season by Forest boss Gary Megson but has remained at the club, having had an unsuccessful trial at Bristol City back in October.
With only seven Forest appearances to his name since his move in the summer of 2004, James has made the switch to Paul Merson's side for the remainder of the campaign.
He is expected to make his Walsall debut in Saturday's FA Cup third round tie with League One rivals Barnsley.
The news of James's departure comes as Forest completed striker Nathan Tyson's permanent move from Wycombe Wanderers.
The former Reading hit-man had initially joined on loan from The Chairboys back in November, with Forest needing to wait until January in order to make the move a permanent arrangement.
The 23-year-old moves in a deal worth £675,000 and has penned a three-and-a-half year contract with Megson's side.
