Nottingham Forest's Kris Commons says he will make a decision on his future by Friday.
In-demand Nottingham Forest midfielder Kris Commons has promised boss Colin Calderwood he will have made a decision as to his future by Friday.
The 23-year-old is currently out of contract at the City Ground and has been debating whether or not to sign a new contract with the club.
Should he decide not to accept a new contract he will become a free agent but Forest will be entitled to compensation from his new club.
Calderwood admits it has been a testing time for him and the club not knowing if Commons will stay or not and admits he will be relieved when the situation is resolved so that he can press on with other plans.
"I cannot wait for Friday to come round because the sooner I get an answer from Kris, the sooner other things will fit into place," said Calderwood.
"Having spoken to Kris I am hopeful we will get a decision from him we all want to hear.
"It goes without saying he can play a big part in the club's future."
