Villa defender heads out on loan again

Leyton Orient have made a second swoop on loan deadline day by bringing in Aston Villa defender Eric Lichaj for a month. Lichaj, who made six appearances on loan at Lincoln City earlier this season, follows John Spicer in making the move to Orient. The American right-back is likely to be in the squad for Saturday's game at Brentford and could eventually extend his stay until the end of the season. "We're delighted to welcome Eric to the club," said Orient boss Geraint Williams. "We've seen him play for Aston Villa's reserves and he's principally a full-back who can play on either side, and he's got a lot of energy and quality. "He also has what could be a useful weapon in a long throw, and we are looking forward to having him competing for a place in the team over the next month."
