Andy Reid has set his sights on earning promotion to the Premier League after completing his switch to Nottingham Forest to become Steve McClaren's first signing at the City Ground.
The Republic of Ireland international moves to Forest on a free transfer after enjoying a short spell with Blackpool during the second half of last season.
Reid started his career at Forest having joined as a 14-year-old before playing for a host of clubs, including Charlton and Sunderland.
He has a wealth of Premier League experience, which will have undoubtedly attracted McClaren as the former England boss aims to lead Forest back into the top flight.
Reid, who previously made 144 appearances for the Reds, has penned a two-year deal.
"I haven't come here to stay in the Championship for a couple of years - I've come here to help get this club in the Premier League which is where it belongs," the midfielder, 28, told Forest's official website.
"I haven't played for this club in the Premier League but I was in the youth team when it was last there.
"And I know how fitting this club would be in the Premier League and I want to be part of the team, the squad and the club when we get promotion to the top flight."
Reid added: "It feels like I've come home, especially seeing so many familiar faces at the club.
"It's great to see people who were so good to me when I was here first time round."
