Forest closing on capture of Arsenal midfielder

Sky Sports understands that Henri Lansbury has passed a medical at Nottingham Forest ahead of his proposed switch from Arsenal. Having spent the last three seasons away from Emirates Stadium on loan deals at Watford, Norwich and West Ham, the 21-year-old has taken the decision to make a fresh start. His past experiences of life in the Championship suggest he is capable of settling quickly at that level, and that will have appealed to Forest. The England U21 international has struggled to fulfil the promise he displayed upon breaking into the senior fold at Arsenal, but his potential remains. It is reported that Forest will snap him up on a £1million deal and add him to a squad that has made an unbeaten start to the 2012/13 campaign. Lansbury will bring creative qualities to the middle of the park and provide another useful option to Reds boss Sean O'Driscolll. With a medical now completed, a deal to take the youngster to the City Ground should be wrapped up once all of the relevant paperwork has been signed off.
