The online bookmaker suspended the market on Monday afternoon after Warnock was backed at as short as 2/5 to replace Billy Davies but reopened betting after it emerged an agreement could not be reached between the parties.
Having initially been added to the book as a 20/1 outsider, former Watford boss Zola has emerged as the odds-on favourite for the job at 5/6 as he continues to attract significant backing for the post.
Zola is now followed by surprise candidate Leonardo Jardim, who is currently in charge of Sporting CP, at 8/1, while Malky Mackay and Stuart Pearce are also considered options to take over the Sky Bet Championship outfit at 14/1 apiece.
Sky Bet's Head of Football Trading Paul Wiggins said: "We were initially left regretting even opening the market as punters perceived the Warnock deal was done, quickly backing him at very short prices.
"However, the majority of the money is now going on Zola, with stakes considerably larger than we would normally see on manager markets suggesting those backing are convinced he is the man for the job."
