Blackpool are closing in on the loan signing of Rangers forward Joe Dodoo, according to Sky sources.

The Sky Bet League One side are keen to strengthen their attacking options and negotiations to bring the 22-year-old to Bloomfield Road on a season-long loan have reached an advanced stage.

Dodoo joined Rangers from then-Premier League champions Leicester in 2016 and went on to score five goals in 27 matches.

He spent part of last season on loan at Charlton, scoring two goals in eight appearances for the League One club.

Dodoo has two years remaining on his contract at Ibrox.
