Donovan Ricketts is set to regain his place in goal for Bradford after Rhys Evans' loan spell was cut short by injury.
Evans, who made four League Two starts for The Bantams, is now back with Blackpool after damaging his shoulder in last weekend's draw with Grimsby.
Bradford boss Stuart McCall has been pleased with Ricketts' attitude after being dropped and is hopeful he can carry his reserve-team form into this weekend's clash with Brentford.
"Since I told Donovan I was bringing someone in his reaction has been first class," McCall told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus.
"He has been excellent in training and kept two clean sheets in the reserves. Hopefully, he will step back in with new confidence and play like he can."
The Bantams boss had thought a loan stint in the Blue Square Premier could be good for the youngster, but was pleasantly pleased with his display off the bench against The Mariners.
"I had thought that four or five games of proper league football, maybe in the Conference, would help him and toughen him up," McCall continued.
"But we've seen what he is capable of doing and that's twice now he's come off the bench and made a big impact.
"He was a breath of fresh air on Saturday and at this moment in time we wouldn't want to let him go."
