Skysports.com understands Cardiff are closing in on the signing of Blackpool defender Dekel Keinan.
Cardiff boss Dave Jones has been keen to bolster his defensive options and he has moved for Keinan after missing out on QPR-bound Danny Shittu.
Keinan only joined Blackpool in the summer from Maccabi Haifa and he has made eight appearances in the first team.
The Israeli international has been unable to break up the central defensive partnership of Ian Evatt and Craig Cathcart and Ian Holloway is ready to let him move on.
Cardiff are believed to be in advanced talks with Keinan and are hoping to tie up a deal for the player before the weekend.
