Blackpool boss Ian Holloway believes Robbie Fowler may have a choice of clubs as he tries to secure a deal for the former Liverpool striker.
Fowler has spent the past few days training with the Seasiders and chairman Karl Oyston was expected to hold talks with the 36-year-old on Saturday.
Holloway is keen to add the ex-England international's experience and goal-poaching instinct to his squad as Blackpool push for a return to the Premier League.
However, Holloway is aware that Fowler could have other clubs interested as he waits on the forward to make a decision about his future.
"I hope Robbie has seen how we play and wants to be part of it," Holloway told The People.
"If he still has the hunger and the energy, we will have him all day long.
"It's not my choice, it's not my chairman's choice, it's down to Robbie Fowler. It might be about geography, it might be about the style we play.
"I am sure other people will want him. In fact, he may well have a choice. But if he does choose us, it could really help."
