The highly-rated 23-year-old has been one of the key players in the Bulls' fine start to the season in non-league football's highest division but the player has asked to be transfer-listed in order to get a move into The Football League.
There have been reports that The Glovers have had their bid for Parry turned down by the Edgar Street club but Johnson revealed that he has not received any official reply from Hereford boss Graham Turner.
"I've read newspapers saying Graham Turner has not accepted the offer, but I haven't actually heard from him yet," Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol.
"Until we hear from Hereford, or Paul, we don't know."
Johnson has targeted Parry as a replacement for Michael McIndoe, who moved on in the summer to fellow Division Three side Doncaster Rovers.
