Yeovil have agreed to pay an undisclosed fee for Woking defender Luke Oliver.Yeovil Town have agreed to pay an undisclosed fee for Woking defender Luke Oliver.
The towering stopper concurred on a contract with the League Two champions last month but, due to his age, Woking are entitled to compensation.
The matter could have headed to a tribunal but The Glovers have struck a deal to pay the Conference side an undisclosed amount.
Glovers boss Gary Johnson is happy to have the matter resolved and has now challenged Oliver to claim a first-team place at Huish Park.
"I think it is a very fair figure for a player who was out of contract and both sides should be happy, " Johnson told the Western Daily Press.
"Now it is up to Luke to push on and give it a real go here. I know he is looking forward to training with us."
Meanwhile, injury-plagued defender Adam Lockwood (pictured) has signed a short-term contract with Yeovil as he looks to prove his fitness.
Lockwood will stay with The Glovers during pre-season and will be handed a longer deal if he shows that he has overcome his injury problems.
