Yeovil say they have received no formal bid from Swansea for Darren Way.
Yeovil Town boss Steve Thompson says his club has not received a formal offer for Darren Way.
The former Norwich City trainee has attracted attention from a number of clubs, with The Swans heading a lengthy queue for his services.
Manager Kenny Jackett is a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old, and it is understood that a £100,000 deal has already been discussed.
City Chairman Huw Jenkins told the Evening Post: ''Darren Way is one of six or eight players we've enquired about in the last two weeks.
''We've spent hundreds of hours on the phone since the window opened and he's someone we're interested in.
''We haven't actually bid for him, but we have talked figures with his club.''
Thompson is reluctant to lose Way after already seeing midfield partner Lee Johnson move to Hearts recently, and he says that no bids have been received - either from Swansea or any other clubs.
"Darren Way is a good player and I would not be surprise if teams were interested," he added. "But we have had no written offer for him."
Way will be out of contract during the summer, however, and Yeovil could well be tempted to cash in before he is allowed to leave on a free during the summer.
Meanwhile, The Glovers have recalled defender Adam Lockwood from his loan spell at League Two side Torquay United.
