Hoskins has yet to make a league appearance for Nigel Adkins' side but was handed a full debut for the Saints earlier in the season, after coming on as a last minute substitute for Guly do Prado in a 3-1 win over Swindon Town in the Carling Cup.
Adkins is keen for the promising young forward to get a taste of first team action and has readily sanctioned his switch to Deepdale.
