Brown moves in bid to quell miserable run of results

Preston have moved to bolster their attacking options with the loan acquisition of Southampton's Sam Hoskins, skysports.com understands. Hoskins has yet to make a league appearance for Nigel Adkins' side but was handed a full debut for the Saints earlier in the season, after coming on as a last minute substitute for Guly do Prado in a 3-1 win over Swindon Town in the Carling Cup. Adkins is keen for the promising young forward to get a taste of first team action and has readily sanctioned his switch to Deepdale. Preston boss Phil Brown is eager to add fresh faces to his dressing room after North End's winless run was stretched to seven games after their 5-2 loss to League One leaders Charlton on Saturday. Hoskins could make his debut at the weekend as Preston host Southend in the first round of the FA Cup, pending permission being granted from Southampton.
