Stech dreams of dizzy heights

Marek Stech believes Yeovil can defy the critics once again next season after a historic victory over Brentford at Wembley.

Gary Johnson's men secured promotion to the second tier for the first time in their history on Sunday thanks to goals from Paddy Madden and Dan Burn but also courtesy of a top draw display from their 23-year-old Czech goalkeeper. And having proved many people - not least the bookmakers - wrong with one of the smallest budgets in the division, Stech sees no reason why Yeovil cannot continue repeating the feat come August. The former West Ham man said: "What we have achieved is absolutely amazing. I hope we can do it again and try to achieve the play-offs next year as well. "We were second favourites to get relegated this year and we proved everyone wrong. So we will try to do our best, try to stay up and to go for the play-offs would be an unbelievable achievement. "Yeovil is a very small team and what we have achieved is unbelievable. We have the open top bus parade on Tuesday and it will be something special to see all the fans in Yeovil, it will be proper packed."
