Jermaine Johnson and Steve Mildenhall have been released by Oldham Athletic.Oldham boss Ronnie Moore has culled his playing staff by releasing Jermaine Johnson and Steve Mildenhall.
Former Bolton forward Johnson had his contract paid up last season by then boss Brian Talbot but was given a reprieve upon Moore's appointment at Boundary Park, via a non-contract deal.
However, the talented but inconsistent Jamaican has failed to hit top form on a regular basis and has consequently been deemed surplus to requirements by the Lancashire outfit.
Joining Johnson at the exit door is goalkeeper Mildenhall - who joined Oldham last season on a short-term deal from Notts County as cover for Les Pogliacomi.
Meanwhile, former favourite Paul Murray has jetted back to England to have informal talks about returning to the club from Portuguese outfit Beira Mar.
