Oldham's Dutch defender Stefan Stam will have to prolong his spell on the sidelines.Oldham's Dutch defender Stefan Stam will have to prolong his spell on the sidelines after suffering a foot infection.
The 26-year-old was set to return from a groin problem which he aggravated against Walsall in February but his comeback has now been put back.
Stam is expected to be fit again in a fortnight and will then look to add to the 13 appearances he has made in an injury hit League One campaign.
In other Latics news, striker Andy Liddell will go under the knife this week to correct his Achilles problem.
The former Barnsley hit-man picked up the injury in January and has been ruled out for the rest of the season as a result.
Liddell will undergo surgery on Tuesday and Latics boss Ronnie Moore is hoping to welcome his influential striker back for pre-season.
"Let's hope he comes back for pre-season training raring to go," Moore told the club's official website.
