Oldham are confident Ritchie Jones will recover from a tight hamstring in time for next Saturday's trip to Walsall.
The midfielder was ruled out of this weekend's 1-1 draw at local rivals Rochdale due to a strain he felt in training on Friday. Jones' omission was more of a precaution, though, with manager Paul Dickov unwilling to risk his fitness for fear of aggravating the problem, and he should return at the Banks's Stadium.
