Ex-Marseille defender impresses Dickov during trial

Oldham Athletic have handed Bradley Diallo a five-month contract after the versatile defender impressed on trial. Diallo left French giants Marseille over the summer and he has spent the past few weeks training with League One side Oldham. The 21-year-old, who can play anywhere across the back, admits he could not reject the chance to sample English football at Boundary Park. "I have wanted to play in England for a long time and, when the opportunity to came to come here on trial, I couldn't turn it down," Diallo told the club's official website. Diallo could be in contention for a place in Latics boss Paul Dickov's squad for Saturday's game at home to local rivals Rochdale.
