Defender keen to be playing regular football again

Oldham Athletic have signed Huddersfield Town's long-serving defender Nathan Clarke on a loan deal until January. Clarke has made 300 appearances for the Terriers, but he has not been involved in any of the club's four games so far this season. He also featured just once for Huddersfield last term before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at League One rivals Colchester United. The 27-year-old could replace the suspended Jean-Yves Mvoto in Oldham's side against Rochdale on Saturday and is looking forward to the chance to play regularly again. "After playing every week and being a regular in the side, it has been tough," Clarke told Oldham's official website. "It is an experience most players go through and it is great to have the chance to prove a point at another club. "The manager (Paul Dickov) wanted me to come and play which was a massive factor in the move. "This is a new experience and new challenge and one I am looking forward to."
