Swansea manager Paul Clement says on-loan midfielder Renato Sanches is a "big doubt" for the visit of Huddersfield on Saturday.
Sanches has picked up an injury while away with Portugal but Clement says it is a minor issue which will not sideline the 20-year-old for long.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Clement reported: "We have just got one issue from international duty, Renato Sanches is a big doubt for the weekend.
"He picked up a minor thigh strain while training for Portugal, which looks like it will rule him out for this weekend.
"We are not 100 per cent sure yet.
"He had a second scan today and we are waiting for further news."
A Euro 2016 winner with Portugal, Sanches was a high profile arrival transfer window arrival at Swansea from Bayern Munich.
He has made four starts and one sub appearance so far for the Swans and Clement thinks he is starting to find his stride.
He added: "Disappointing (Sanches is injured), because with each game that he has played for us, he has improved.
"His fitness is improving and it will be a short-term injury.
"If he does miss this weekend, it is highly probable he will be available for next weekend."
Clement added that Kyle Bartley remains absent with a medium-term injury but otherwise he has his squad in "pretty good shape".
