Skysports.com can confirm that Lee Trundle is set to pledge his future to Swansea City.
The 27-year-old has been on fire since moving to Vetch Field and is now set to pledge his immediate future to The Swans.
Trundle signed a one-year deal with Swansea in the summer, after leaving Welsh rivals Wrexham.
He has since fired 11 goals already this season and is top-scorer in the Division, despite being sidelined with a knee injury.
The Liverpudlian, who has attracted interest from Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr, is expected back in action in two weeks - by which time he should have signed his new deal.
The player's representative Neil Sang has explained to skysports.com that a new contract is in the offing.
"We have had two or three great meetings with the Swansea chairman [Huw Jenkins] over the last few weeks," Sang said.
"The talks are now at an advanced stage for another year and there are just a few things to resolve."
A host of clubs have been flocking to watch Trundle in action in recent weeks and he was being linked with a possible move in January, but he is now set to hand a massive boost to the promotion chasing Swansea.
