Swansea City striker Lee Trundle is facing up to a month on the sidelines.Swansea City's bid for League One promotion has suffered a major blow with news of injury to star striker Lee Trundle.
The gifted front man is expected to be ruled out for up to a month after suffering ankle ligament damage at the weekend against basement side Swindon.
A point at the County Ground saw Swansea reclaim top spot but not without a cost, as Trundle suffered an injury following a robust challenge from Ricky Shakes.
Trundle's exciting displays this term have seen him linked with a move further up the football pyramid, with both Championship and Premiership sides having been monitoring the player's progress but any talk of a transfer may now be shelved.
Joining Trundle on the treatment table is Owain Tudor-Jones, who suffered knee ligament damage, but Swans chief Kenny Jackett remains convinced he has the squad to keep the club's promotion push on course.
"We can overcome our injury problems,'' Jackett told the club's official website.
"We've got a big enough and good enough squad to do it.''
