Brent Sancho's proposed loan move to Swansea has been called off by Gillingham.
Brent Sancho's proposed loan move to Swansea City has been called off by Gillingham.
The Trinidad & Tobago international had agreed a one-month switch to the Welsh side on Tuesday but Gillingham's chairman Paul Scally has put a stop to the deal after Swansea tried to change the terms of the move.
"We had agreed a deal with Swansea yesterday that would have seen Brent join them on loan," said Scally on the club's official website.
"They now want to renege on that deal and quite frankly I'm furious with them for not honouring their word.
"Brent will be returning to Gillingham with immediate effect.
"We will not get caught out again in any further dealings with them."
Sancho had hoped the move would give him valuable first-team action ahead of the World Cup in Germany.
