The Frenchman is firmly established as The Swans' number one after joining from Millwall two years ago.
He will doubtless play a key role in the club's bid for promotion next season after featuring in the play-off final defeat to Barnsley last weekend.
Gueret is enjoying his time at The Liberty Stadium and is looking to prolong his stay with the Welsh side beyond the current expiration of his contract in 2007.
The 32-year-old also admits that he would be happy to remain on the books of the League One club until the end of his career.
"If I keep working hard and stay sharp then I can continue in this business for a good few years yet," said Gueret.
"I'll be more than happy to stay at Swansea until I have to call it a day, if the club wants me that is."
Three players on their way out of The Liberty Stadium are captain Roberto Martinez, striker Adrian Forbes and goalkeeper Brian Murphy.
Swans boss Kenny Jackett has decided not to renew the trio's contracts following the club's failure to win promotion to The Championship via the play-offs.
