Well it is quite obvious there is only one thing I can begin this month talking about and that is the departure of Kenny Jackett as Swansea manager.
Firstly I would just like to pay my own tribute to Kenny, who I thought did a very good job with us and was very unlucky in many respects - but that is football and sometimes you get that luck, sometimes you don't. You only have to look back to the play-off final last year, if we had won - then who knows where we would be now.
To be honest the whole situation did catch us by surprise. We came in for training on the Thursday and we were informed that the gaffer had left.
None of us spoke to him immediately but I have subsequently spoken to him on the phone and just basically said thanks for everything.
It is not the first time I have found myself in this situation, where a club has got rid of a manager - indeed I have been at Swansea in this situation before - but it is unusual considering we are very much still in the promotion hunt.
Obviously things have happened and the expectation level at Swansea is there for a reason - the fans want top level football and they deserve it - without a doubt.
By the same token Swansea also demand to do it in the right way, under the gaffer we always did play football - but whenever we did try a direct approach, you could immediately tell that it was not what the fans wanted.
I really don't want to get dragged into speculation about who might and who might not take charge at the club. But people have been asking me about Roberto Martinez - who has been linked.
All I would say is that I know Roberto from his spell with the club and he is a great fans' favourite. He is still very popular around here and one thing I really do know is that he has a great footballing brain and thinks a lot about the game, so I am not really surprised to see him linked.
But as I said, as a player it is my job just to get on with things and I am sure the club will make the right decision - we have a host of important games coming up and it is important we all remain focused on the main task and that remains getting Swansea promoted.
