Swansea City have signed West Ham United striker Frank Nouble on a three-month loan deal.

Rodgers delighted with striker signing

Swansea City have signed West Ham United striker Frank Nouble on a three-month loan deal. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week, Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers had lined up a move for Nouble to bolster his forward line. Nouble, who could make his debut against Scunthorpe this weekend, will provide Swansea with a major boost with Craig Beattie and Gorka Pintado both injured and Shefki Kuqi loaned out to Derby. Rodgers was delighted to land the England Under 19 international and believes he will be a success at the Liberty Stadium. "I am absolutely delighted to get Frank," Rodgers told the club's official website. "We have seen already what a massive asset Scott Sinclair can be for this club, and now we have another player with big potential. "Frank's slightly younger and he is a different type of player, but he is another one who will excite the crowd.

Highly rated

"I know West Ham manager Avram Grant rates him highly, too, but he needs to be out playing games. "He will give us power, pace and mobility, and that type of player doesn't come around too often. "He has some Premier League experience and this is a chance for him to be part of a terrific squad and prove he can come and play and work well at this level. He will have no problem fitting in."
