Brendan Rodgers praised the courage of his Swansea team for maintaining their attacking style against the best teams in the country.
Luke Moore scored a late header to give Swansea a shock 1-0 win over Manchester City but it was their bold approach which continues to draw praise.
However, the Swans' chief is adamant they will maintain their philosophy no matter who they play against.
"They [Manchester City] have gone away to Tottenham and Manchester United and got great victories, so we knew this was going to be an incredibly tough game for us because of the level," he told Sky Sports.
"But really the focus is very much on our own game because we feel like if we can pass the ball and have the courage to play, we will hurt teams and that is something that we've proved over the last couple of seasons.
"Even against the best teams we believe that we can cause problems. Today was a great victory and a terrific goal to win the game."
Scott Sinclair saw his penalty saved by Joe Hart in the sixth minute but the newly-promoted side brushed off that disappointment to put in a quality display.
Rodgers added: "Our mentality throughout the game was outstanding. I thought we were clearly the better side over the course of the game.
"First half we were outstanding and were unfortunate not to take the lead. Scott Sinclair is one of the main reasons why we are at this level and Joe Hart is arguably one of the world's best goalkeepers, so there is nothing against Scott with that. The great thing is that we retained our positivity."
