Transfer news: Garry Monk hoping to make further additions at Swansea

Garry Monk is still looking to bring 'one or two more' fresh faces into Swansea City before the transfer deadline passes.
Eight additions have already been made at the Liberty Stadium this summer, but further strength in depth would allow the club to build on a positive start to the season.
Monk hopes there will be further movement, with top targets having been identified and approached.
He has until 11pm on Monday to get those deals over the line, with the window of opportunity about to close for Premier League managers.
It’s never easy, there are a lot of issues with every deal, but hopefully we can get something mopped up as soon as possible.
Monk said in the South Wales Evening Post: "I hope we can get things finalised - I’m trying to do that.
“It’s never easy, there are a lot of issues with every deal, but hopefully we can get something mopped up as soon as possible.
“I’ve already said we need one or two more and hopefully we can get it done this week.
“The squad is looking good but I still feel every team at this level should have two players competing for every position.
“We have some younger lads who will be very good in the future, but in terms of first team experience and having enough to go straight into the team, we need two in each position and we haven’t got that quite at the moment.
“That’s why we need one or two more.”
Swansea have been heavily linked with Montpellier midfielder Benjamin Stambouli, but Monk feels he is already well-stocked in that department.
He added: “Midfield is pretty much sorted with Tom (Carroll) and Jay (Fulton) coming back.
“Jay looked a little rusty against Rotherham but needed the minutes and he will get better and sharper and hopefully he’ll compete for a place in the first team squad.”
