The Chairboys looked on course for victory at Gigg Lane after Kevin Betsy (pictured) had put them ahead after 21 minutes, but two goals in the last three minutes from Paul Scott and Simon Whaley gave The Shakers all three points.
Grimsby remain in second despite their game at Darlington being postponed.
Carlisle closed the gap on the top two after a 2-1 win over Wrexham. Matt Crowell had given the Welsh side the lead (50 pen), but Kevin Gray (71) and Chris Lumsdon (81 pen) secured the win for The Cumbrians.
The game of the day saw fourth placed Leyton Orient claim a 4-2 victory at Rochdale.
Gary Alexander fired Orient ahead after ten minutes, but Alan Goodall levelled for Dale (24).
Shane Tudor then struck (35), but he was dismissed for a second yellow card just before the interval.
Despite being down to ten men Orient went further ahead through Alexander. Blair Sturrock gave the home side some brief hope of a comeback, but John Mackie sealed the victory late on.
Northampton bolstered their play-off hopes with a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town at The Sixfields. Scott McGleish grabbed the only goal of the game after 55 minutes.
Chester failed to overcome their catalogue of injuries as they went down 2-1 at home to Rushden.
It was 1-1 after half an hour as Drewe Broughton and Ben Davies each fired home a penalty.
The winner came just before the hour when Phil Bolland put through his own net.
A last minute goal from Nicky Bailey gave Barnet a 1-1 draw at Macclesfield, who had gone ahead in the first half through Kevin Sandwith.
Torquay United climbed off the bottom of the table thanks to a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers at The Memorial Stadium with Morike Sako claiming the goal just two minutes from time.
The Gulls leapfrogged Stockport, who lost 2-0 at Notts County with the goals coming from Julien Baudet (40) and Emmet Friars (73).
Boston against Cheltenham, and Mansfield versus Peterborough both ended in goalless draws.
