The Cumbrians took advantage of Wycombe's loss to Wrexham earlier in the day by dispatching of Chester in fine style.
Adam Murray (14) and Michael Bridges (45) made it 2-0 at half time, before goals from Chris Lumsdon (58 pen), Karl Hawley (64) and Glenn Murray (82) sealed the win.
