Wycombe took advantage of a Grimsby slip-up whilst Stockport climbed off the bottom.League-leaders Grimsby Town suffered a 2-1 defeat away at struggling Mansfield Town.
Richard Barker (19) and Giles Coke (40) put the hosts in command, however Curtis Woodhouse made for a nervy final ten minutes but Mansfield held on.
Wycombe Wanderers took advantage of Grimsby's slip-up to regain top spot in League Two, winning away at Notts County.
Dean Bowditch (32) opened the scoring for Wycombe and although Brian O'Callaghan restored parity early in the second half, Ian Stonebridge popped up to score the winner with 15 minutes remaining.
Stockport County climbed three places, and out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win over Rochdale, Danny Boshell (27), Adam Griffin (33) and Keith Briggs (88) scoring the goals.
Mark Arber scored a brace to hand Peterborough all three points at home to Darlington.
The visitors had been ahead through Andrew Cook (26), however Arber scored his first goal for 13 months just before half-time and then his second with 15 minutes remaining.
A cracker at the Underhill saw Lincoln City steal a 3-2 victory with three minutes remaining, coming from 2-0 behind.
Ben Strevens (21) and Tresor Kandol (53) had put the hosts in control, however a superb fight-back saw Lincoln take all three points.
Jamie McCombe began the revival a minute after going two behind and Gary Birch levelled the scores mid-way through the second half before Nat Brown (pictured) finished the fight-back with the winner on 87 minutes.
Matt Derbyshire eased the troubles at Wrexham with two goals (24 & 36) to hand his side a 2-0 victory over Rochdale whilst Brian Wilson scored the only goal on 73 minutes in a 1-0 win for Cheltenham Town at Bristol Rovers.
Northampton Town and Leyton Orient played out a 1-1 draw with goals from Andy Kirk (8) and John Mackie (65) respectively whilst Carlisle United and Shrewsbury Town also shared the points after a 2-2 draw.
Chris Lumsdon opened the scoring inside two minutes for Carlisle, however Neil Sorvel pulled Shrewsbury level (12) and Richard Hope added their second (72).
After Ben Herd was sent off for a deliberate handball, Derek Holmes scored the equaliser with two minutes remaining.
The proverbial six-pointer between strugglers Torquay United and Bury ended in a point apiece and no goals.
