United boss plays down Cadamarteri connection
Dundee United boss Craig Levein has refused to comment on speculation he is looking to sign Danny Cadamarteri.
Levein, who previously signed the former Everton frontman whilst in charge of Leicester, watched Cadamarteri play for Huddersfield against Carlisle earlier in the week.
That sighting has sparked rumours that the United boss might be targeting a replacement for injured striker Jon Daly.
With Daly out for a year with a cruciate ligament injury, Levein has been left with a gap upfront and could turn to Cadamarteri, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
Speculation
Neither confirming nor denying recent reports, the Terrors boss told the
Evening Telegraph: "I'm not going to comment on speculation.
"It was the same last year when we were being linked with this player and that player and, to be honest, it drove me nuts.
"When we have any news, the fans can rest assured, I'll let them know."
