Big game at the top of the table as fourth host first

League One leaders Charlton Athletic face one of their toughest games of the season on Saturday as Sheffield Wednesday look to climb into the automatic promotion spots. Charlton resumed winning ways by beating Yeovil Town on Tuesday, but now meet a different proposition away to promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town, who have lost just once in 17 games. With Sheffield United not in action this weekend, Steel City rivals Sheffield Wednesday can move into second with victory at Leyton Orient. Wycombe Wanderers hauled themselves out of the relegation zone in midweek after beating fellow strugglers Exeter City and now entertain fifth-placed MK Dons. Chesterfield's participation in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final means Exeter at least know they will end the weekend no worse than second bottom ahead of their trip to Tranmere Rovers. Rochdale suffered a home defeat by Tranmere in midweek and the relegation candidates head down to the capital to tackle Brentford. Walsall slipped into the bottom four in midweek despite an impressive draw at Sheffield Wednesday and play host to a Stevenage side just outside the play-offs. Carlisle United are hanging on to the final spot in the top six and can end Colchester United's play-off hopes with three points at the Weston Homes Community Stadium. Notts County have suffered back-to-back home defeats by the two Sheffield clubs over the past week and will hope to get back on track at Scunthorpe United. Bury have slipped down the table after failing to win in their last 12 games and make the short trip to North West rivals Preston North End. Oldham Athletic eased their relegation concerns with victory in midweek and welcome Bournemouth to Boundary Park on Saturday. Yeovil and Hartlepool United are unlikely to be dragged back into the relegation scrap and the mid-table duo meet at Huish Park.
