McGovern and Loy attracting interest after Carlisle exit

Former Carlisle United duo Jon-Paul McGovern and Rory Loy are hoping to fix themselves up with new clubs after leaving Brunton Park. Midfielder McGovern and striker Loy both left Carlisle earlier this week after seeing out their contracts. Loy joined Carlisle from Rangers in January 2011 and scored seven goals in 50 appearances for the League One outfit. Former Celtic youngster McGovern arrived at Brunton Park in the summer of 2011 after leaving Swindon and he made over 80 appearances for the Cumbrians during his time at the club. The duo's agent, Clive Hart, admitted that a number of teams were interested in McGovern and Loy and that the pair will weigh up their options before deciding where to continue their careers. "JP and Rory have both enjoyed their time at Carlisle, but they are now looking for a new challenge," Hart told skysports.com. "I am speaking to several clubs about both players as they attractive propositions with them being available on free transfers. "We will sit down and see what offers come their way before making a decision on their long-term futures."
