Tranmere Rovers have handed a new contract to midfielder Danny Harrison.Tranmere Rovers have handed a new contract to promising midfielder Danny Harrison.
The 22-year-old has pledged his future to the club until 2007 - penning a new two-and-half-year deal.
"With the signings the gaffer had made in the summer I was delighted to be offered a new contract and jumped at the chance to sign it," Harrison told the club's website.
"I've played the last couple of games. It was a bit up in the air what was going to go on with the players we've brought in but I'm pleased to have worked my way into the team."
The same cannot be said for young striker Paul Robinson, who has left the club by mutual consent this week.
Robinson has been on trial at Conference club York City and hopes to earn a deal at Bootham Crescent.
In other news - Tranmere are set to be without striker Calvin Zola Makongo.
The former Newcastle striker has just returned from a three-match ban but he is having 'UK residency issues' and will be unavailable until the club confirm otherwise.
Zola was born in Republic of Congo and left three years ago to carry on his education in Newcastle, before United snapped him up.
