Striker wants to play his part in another promotion push

MK Dons have finalised the signing of experienced striker Ryan Lowe on a two-year contract from Sheffield Wednesday for an undisclosed fee. Sky Sports revealed earlier this week that the Dons had lined up a move for Lowe, who joined Wednesday on a two-year deal from Bury before the close of last summer's transfer window. He scored nine goals in 30 appearances in all competitions as the Owls won promotion to the Championship, but has been allowed to leave Hillsborough after Dave Jones strengthened his squad. Lowe is looking forward to a new challenge with the Dons and is hoping he can help Karl Robinson's side to finally secure a place in the second tier. "I have just left a great club in Sheffield Wednesday," the 33-year-old told his new club's official website. "I was probably going to be limited to chances of playing football and I don't want to just sit around picking up money, I want to work hard for my money. "There's not many clubs that I would have left Sheffield Wednesday for so I have come to this club to hopefully achieve the ambition of getting promoted this season. "Hopefully it can be third time lucky for the football club and hopefully I am a good luck charm and I can make it a third promotion for me."
