Rovers hopeful over Akpa Akpro

Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro is set to be available for Tranmere's home match against Swindon after suffering a knock at the weekend.

Akpa Akpro, recently back from a lengthy absence due to a broken metatarsal, sustained a heavy blow to his ribs during Saturday's victory over fellow promotion hopefuls Brentford and the forward made way for Cole Stockton in the 64th minute. Rovers boss Ronnie Moore told Tranmere Player: "He had the X-ray after the game and there was no break. "But as a precaution we're just checking with another X-ray just to make sure everything is fine. "He's a bit sore which you'd expect. He was fine on the bus because he'd been doused up with tablets, but he got up (on Sunday) and it was sore. "But we're hopeful he'll be fine for the weekend."
