Donny pair move on

Doncaster Rovers have allowed David Morley and John McGrath to move on.

Doncaster Rovers have allowed David Morley and John McGrath to move to League Two clubs.

Defender Morley has agreed a deal with Macclesfield Town after both clubs came to terms on a five-figure sum this week.

Silkmen chairman Rob Bickerton told the club's official website that the 27-year-old's arrival was the first of several new faces to be expected at Moss Rose.

"This will hopefully be the first of a number of signings the club plan to make to strengthen the squad in the search for the play-offs this season," Bickerton said.

Morley's departure from Belle Vue has been followed by the expected move of midfielder McGrath (pictured) to Kidderminster Harriers until the end of the season.

The former Aston Villa player, who became surplus to requirements in Dave Penney's side, arrives at Aggborough after holding talks with Harriers boss Stuart Watkiss.

Meanwhile, Watkiss has been linked with a move for Wrexham midfielder Dean Bennett, who left Kidderminster to join the League One club in the summer.
