The goalkeeper is one of Doncaster's longest-serving players and has been on the books throughout their journey back into The Football League.
Warrington was a key figure as the club initially won promotion from The Conference and then a place in League One.
But the 29-year-old's place is under threat this season, with new signing Jan Budtz tipped to be number one at Belle Vue.
Warrington started Saturday's opening game against Bristol City but accepts it was only due to an injury to Budtz.
With just 12 months remaining on his contract, Warrington is aware he must convince manager Dave Penney (pictured) that he deserves to stay in his plans.
"I'm out of contract next summer and with Jan arriving there's no doubt I'm playing for my future," said Warrington.
"He would have played against City if he hadn't suffered a groin strain in training so I need to make every game I play in count."
