League One Millwall's FA Cup upset win against Leicester City is a "big moment" for the club, says manager Neil Harris.

The south London side had Jake Cooper sent off on 52 minutes, but held off their Premier League opposition and grabbed a last-gasp winner through Shaun Cummings to reach the quarter-finals.

Harris does not believe a League One club can go on to reach the final, but savoured his side's victory at the Den - the third time they've knocked top-flight opposition out of the competition this season.

"It's a big moment for us," he said. "To beat the Premier League reigning champions, it's a great moment.

"I think I lost my cool a little bit when that goal went in. It was a fantastic moment for everybody in the stadium connected to Millwall.

"Going down to 10 men just after half-time is tough. It put the pressure and expectation onto Leicester's shoulders but my players didn't freeze. It galvanised the stadium. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric, especially in the second half. It carried my players and my players carried the stadium.

"The pressing with 10 men, the closing down, the use of the ball, the chances we created was everything you want from a Millwall team.

"There's something about the FA Cup for this club since 2004 [when they finished runners-up]. Why, who knows. We're in the quarter-finals and we can't reach a final. A League One team can't reach the final.

"We've got ourselves to the quarter-final and we can look forward to that. We've done really well today, exceeded all expectation. We'd certainly like a home draw in the next round but I'm not fussed who we play. But I'd like a home draw.

"It sounds really boring but we look forward to the draw and want a home draw in the quarter-final and then I want three points Tuesday night against Chesterfield."

Harris accepted that both Millwall and non-league Lincoln would be favoured draws for the top teams left in the competition, but warned few would look forward to a trip to the Den.

"I don't think anybody is going to relish coming to the Den for a game," he said.

"You've got some really good sides left in it and most Premier League sides are going to look at Millwall and Lincoln as an opportunity to progress to the semi-final.

"But we look forward to the draw, whoever we get, it'll be a great occasion for us to test ourselves. You get so close to a semi-final and a final and you want to progress."

Millwall supporters ran onto the pitch at the end of the game and missiles were thrown by both sets of supporters. However, Harris said he had already gone down the tunnel by then and had nothing but praise for the home support.

"I thought my fans were excellent today," he said. "They made it a hostile atmosphere - which we've come to expect and love at Millwall - the noise levels were outrageous and our fans typified what the FA Cup was all about. I think they enjoyed the occasion."
