The free-scoring centre forward was struck down with the disease in June, and there were initial fears that he would be out of action for the whole season, but he has made a remarkable recovery from radiotherapy and scored against Barnet`s reserves.
The striker, who scored 28 goals last term, came on after 64 minutes and he marked his return with a fabulous solo goal shortly afterwards.
Harris is now looking to make the next step, saying: "It was very enjoyable to be back. I`ve not been out as long as I thought I would be, but it has still been eight weeks too long.
"My main aim now is to get back into the first-team, but it will possibly be longer than two or three weeks before I am back in contention."
Phil Stamp also featured for the first time since his loan move from Middlesbrough and should take part in Saturday`s Division One clash with Crystal Palace.
